Why has my boss been like this?

I’m young but I work In a children’s ministry with my friend. My boss hired me as the main “teacher” and my friend as the “assistant” but lately my boss has completely ignored my texts, and she asks my friend to constantly run errands for her which kinda stresses her out and id love to help. She also gives my friend extra hours she didn’t even ask for. My boss doesn’t tell me anything and completely ignores all my messages. For example, I texted her yesterday asking if I could take a day off next month for an event. I got no response. And then my friend got a text from her right after I sent my try to and she responded. So idk what’s going on but it’s extremely frustrating and I’m not sure how to approach the situation. 🙁
