So here’s a fun story

Nikki

At 5:45am I felt cramping and thought I’d just had to pee really bad. I used the bathroom and then 10 minutes later I had another. It didn’t hurt too bad but I called my wife at work and woke my oldest son up for school. My wife works 45 minutes away and about an hour and fifteen with traffic. By 6:30am the contractions were 7 minutes and getting stronger. My wife called my sister and I called our midwife. The midwife said she would call me back because they were only 7 minutes apart and she had to check my group b strep results (that I took a week ago). After I hung up, my contractions quickly moved to 3 minutes apart and I decided to get in the tub to ease the pain. My water had not broke nor was I bleeding at all. It is now 7:20 and my sister arrives but the front door is locked,my son has left for school and my wife is stuck in traffic trying to get home to me. I called the midwife three times and she keeps sending me to voicemail. At this point, I could not move due to the pain. My wife tried her best to talk me through. I said babe he’s coming out and she coached me through it. I told her I feel his head and she said ok call 911. I called and as they were asking questions, baby’s head came out and then swiftly the rest of his body. Meanwhile my sister is on the other side of my front door crying because she hears me yelling but can’t get in so she left to get my oldest sons key. I cleaned baby and sat in the tub for about 10 minutes and then I let the water out and unlocked my front door. The paramedics arrived five minutes later. And that is my birth story!! 💪🏽 We’re now safe at the hospital
