I mostly do a rough estimate. I try to get it done by my first bite, but also don’t care if I’m late by 10 minutes.

I do it two hours after the first bite. I set a timer on my phone or else I'll totally forget what time to test. 
And because it's counting from the first bite, if it's a long meal, I'm not supposed to test as there's not enough time between finishing and testing. I'm just supposed to make a note in the app I use (the info is sent to the doctor automatically) on why I didn't test.

My doctor told me 1 hour after 1st bite so that’s what I’ve been doing. From what I heard from some friends who had GD they were advised differently. I guess it all depends on the doctor.

It might depend on your doctor. Mine said 2hrs after first bite. And to not eat once I’ve finished my meal.
