This is embarrassing....

This is incredibly embarrassing, and I promise I’m not a troll. Let me get right to the point: my butthole itches. Like the outside of it. It’s been like this for 2 days now. And in case these variables matter: I’ve showered (and cleaned it well) a few times since, it looks normal physically (as far as I can tell), I’ve never had a hemorrhoid, and I haven’t had sex in two months (my husband is away for work and we are monogamous).

I was hoping to handle this without going to a doctor but I don’t even know the first step on what to do. Advice on what to do? Is there a medicine for such a thing? Advice on how to tell what it could be so I can know how to treat it?

And if I have to end up having to see a doctor: who would I even go to? I’m out of town so my normal doc isn’t here. Do I go to an urgent care? I feel like that would be weird taking my pants off for them. Maybe I’d be more comfortable at a planned parenthood because they see people’s bottoms all day anyways. But do they even handle that kind of thing??

I’m lost and my husband is coming home from work for a quick visit after being away for two months, and then leaving again. I’d like to be in tip top shape for him when I see him 😩

ETA: it’s not from shaving or hair removal. No bleeding or straining from pooping, poops are regular.
