Mirena IUD question

Hey guys, so i had the Mirena put in 7 weeks ago and the spotting has finally stopped after my first period butttt the cramps and all i can explain it as is that i can feel it in my tummy type Feeling all the dam time!! Its been like this the whole 7 weeks and im just about over it and have my check up on Monday which im thinking i want it removed.. has any1 experienced similar and did it go away eventually or did u have it removed and then it was better??? So frustrating, but i think id rather go back on the pill then put up with this any longer!!
