Induction VBAC/ C-Section advice

Need some advice...

My first was a horrible induction (5 days) that ended in C-Section. But I recovered remarkably well zero complications... feel like I got the full labor experience with the exception of skin to skin immediately.

Options for #2 were C-Section at 39 weeks or try for Vbac. 39 weeks... 12/16 happens to be my deceased mother in laws birthday and hubby thought it would be kind of cool to have baby that day. So we opted c-section...

Today (36 weeks) OB says I’m dilated to 1 and they could induce at 11:45pm the 15th (won’t do anything elective before 39). I can call it at anytime and say never mind I want the c-section. Any Thoughts? Is VBAC so much better? I’m worried about the amount of down time I could need with csection and 4 year old at home too.
