Elective Induction for 2nd Baby
At my last appointment my doc suggested that we schedule an induction at 39 weeks. I’m due end of January and live an hour away from the hospital in the ‘snow belt’ of the Great Lakes Region which is what prompted the suggestion.
I was induced with my first child because of preeclampsia at 38 weeks and even though my cervix was ‘favorable’ it still was a really long process (24+ hours of labor and 4 hour delivery). They say your second labor/delivery is generally faster, does anyone have experience with this being true even with induction vs natural labor?
