Just joined this group (not sure why I didnt join before!) I'm 28+6 weeks pregnant. Considered high risk because of my age, 42. Failed 1 GD test, but passed the 3 hour test. I go to my high risk 29 weeks appoitment next. Will there be an ultrasound?

How many ultrasounds do high risk pregnancy get? It seems for non-high risk is typically at 8 weeks, then anatomy at 20 and sometimes another one at 38.

Depends on why you are high risk and what your OB prefers. Also if you have any risk factors from a previous pregnancy, they will consider that. You might get a growth scan. I was over 35 and didn’t have a growth scan scheduled, though.

I’m high risk due to my blood pressure. Every time I’ve gone to the high risk doctor, I’ve gotten an ultrasound. I went once a month in the beginning and then starting at 32 weeks I’ve been seen every 2 weeks either by them or my regular OB. I’ll be seeing them for the last time on 12/6, and I’ll be 37 weeks then.

I got one at 7 weeks at 12 weeks 16 weeks and a my anatomy scan at 18 weeks and nw I get a growth scan once a month so I’ll have a total of 10 my pregnancy. I’m high risk because of lupus and 3 previous losses

I’m high risk because I am diabetic, was diagnosed back in 2015 and also I had open heart surgery when I was 1. I have seen my high risk Dr starting at 10 weeks, couldn’t get in any sooner and have had ultrasounds at every appointment. I went about every 4 weeks up until I was around 20 weeks then went every 3 weeks then started going every 2 weeks at 29-30 weeks and have been seeing him weekly since I was 32 weeks and I am 36+5 weeks now. They do growth scans all the time, but I usually get his weight every 2 weeks. I have tons of pictures! He’s getting big and is all squished in there so sometimes it’s kinda hard to tell what I am looking at! 😂

I was considered high risk after I failed my GD test and also due to protein being found in my urine as well as having hypertension. I’m 32, will be 33 in 14 days. Currently almost 37 weeks. I had ultrasounds every other week and now it’s every week to measure the baby’s weight since GD can make the baby bigger. I’m also going to be induced hopefully.
