Anyone else having a big baby?

Hi ladies, just went for my check up yesterday and I’m 37+5, the doctor said my baby is approximately 7.5lbs already!!! I’m scheduled for a c-section in 2 weeks but my doctor is predicting the baby will be about 8.5lbs by then. Any of you been told your baby is going to be big? I’m a little scared

I just had mine done at 36+1 and they’re approximating 6 pounds 9 ounces. I do not have GD and they said that’s just above average.

My baby is measuring big. They are blaming the GD. Two weeks ago at 35 weeks he was measuring 2.6 kg. I see how much he weighs at 37 weeks this Monday

Eh, the predicted my son to be 9-10 pound at 38 weeks. Was induced (had GD and reduced movements) and he came out 7 pound 1 ounce. Same sort of measurements are happening with my second son this time but I’m not really relying on the estimate this time 😂 had no smaller clothes prepared last time but this time I have all different sizes in the hospital bag haha

My first was 8 pounds 5 ounces, my second was 9 pounds and 14 ounces!!! They were shocked with how big our second was so this time they did growth scans etc.. this baby is measuring normal. I sure hope he isn’t as big as his middle brother

Yep. My son was measuring about 7.5lb at 36w so I’m scheduled to be induced at 39w. I have GD as well. I’m really hoping the measurement is off.

At 34weeks she was est 6lbs3oz! Have another scan at 37weeks(next week) and hoping shes not gotten much bigger! She's been weighing and sizing 3 weeks ahead since 24 weeks🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

37 weeks tomorrow and today baby was measuring 7 lbs, 1 week ahead, and 77 percentile.

Mine was measuring 8lb 3oz at 36 weeks. I am praying for all of us😂 we will have to do a follow up post with the weights at birth.

They predicted my baby to be 9lb 5oz at 36w4d. Met with the doc yesterday at 37w1d and she recommended c-section due to the high risk of shoulder dystocia. If he were allowed to go full-term, we could be looking at an 11+lb baby. 😳 So unless I go into labor early, the plan is a c-section mid 39th week. I’m not going to risk my baby’s safety because I’d rather have a vaginal birth. Sure I’m a bit bummed, but I’m also relieved to know that we are doing our best to eliminate the risks.
