Are doctor’s pregnancy tests less accurate?

Hey everyone, I took a test yesterday and it was a strong positive, I went to the doctor today to get a blood test and they got me to do one of their tests and they told me it was negative?
Just very confused because the line I got yesterday is very promising

Not necessarily wrong, they just might require a higher level of hcg than the test you used. 
So it may not come up on their test if you're still very early. Blood test is the most accurate :)

I work in the lab. Our qualitative tests sensitivity is 10mIU/mL for serum (blood) and 20mIU/mL for urine, they’re basically the same test you can get at Walmart. If your hCG isn’t 10 yet, it may not show and some lab techs will not call a line that you can barely see as a positive.
