My husband and and I are expecting our first child, a daughter, Jan 22! We live in Wisconsin and my mom lives in Georgia. My mom really wants to be there to help us immediately after birth (stay with us for 2 weeks or so). I appreciate her offer, but my husband gets to take 2 weeks off with me initially to help me recover and I feel like I would rather just have it be he and I with our new child for those first 2 weeks to figure things out and get our flow down. Then she can come up and help out when he returns to work. That’s when I feel like she would be the most helpful to me. But she so mad at me and taking it personally and wants to be there in the beginning and I don’t know what to do. Any advice would be helpful!
