Am I wrong for feeling this way?

Last night my boyfriend of 5 years went to his friends house and they tattooed my name under his knee from a card I gave him a year ago of my hand writing that said “Love, (and then my name)”... he told me he had a surprise for me and sent me the picture. We had a conversation awhile ago about how we wouldn’t get our names tattooed on each other... I just feel weird about it because we are only 20 and we have been in a bad spot lately... am i wrong for feeling this way?

I think it’s his way of trying to repair the relationship.. but yeah I would feel weird especially since you already had that discussion that you wouldn’t want it done.

I definitely wouldn't want that, it's his body tho and he's going to have to live with it regardless of what happens.  Or get a cover up tattoo.  I opted to get my daughters, ex husband and my zodiac symbols on my wrist... all of them are symbols from my chart tho so when things didnt work out I wasnt to bothered by it.

Just don’t let his doing this pressure you into ANYTHING. Like if things aren’t going good and you want to break up, don’t let this stop you and definitely don’t get his name tattooed on you just because he did it. I’d feel weird about him doing it too, especially during a time you say you aren’t getting along.

You have every right to think that way. Sometimes I think partners do that to feel as if they have some kind of ownership of you. But yet again it is sweet and I would do it. Why the knee !
