Christmas announcement at 8 weeks?

I just found out I'm pregnant so I will be 8 weeks at Christmas. Will that be too early to announce? I think ideally I would like to announce at 12 weeks, but family is going to notice something is up if they don't see me have wine during the holiday.. I'm also wondering if I will have had an ultrasound and heard the heartbeat already before Christmas? This is my first pregnancy and I'm so excited, but I also just don't know what to expect.

I’ll be 8 weeks on Christmas and my husband and I decided to announce then too since everyone will be together, congrats and wishing you a healthy 9 months ❤️❤️❤️

I think telling family is fine at 8 weeks. I wouldn’t announce on social media that early tho, I’m super superstitious and just think that’s too early

I’ll be between 8 and 9 weeks (haven’t seen doc to get a due date yet) and that’s when we plan to announce.

It’s totally up to you and your partner. We’re waiting for Christmas when all of our family will be together and we’ll have the results of prenatal testing by then. I’ll be 14 weeks, so late for most people to announce but it works for us. 
The biggest thing for me is that I’m 35 and at higher risk of abnormalities. I want to have those results in case we have a difficult decision to make. I don’t want family influencing that decision.

Announce it!  I know they have like certain times that are better to announce.  But you don’t have to go by any schedule.  My husband and I told
Our parents on Easter and I was 6 weeks and it was for the same reason - all the family was together and it seemed like a perfect time.

Do it! We announced on thanksgiving at 9 weeks and social media! I’m very open about our journey of TTC and my family and friends all know we’ve had many losses, so I want as much support as I can get!

It's really up to you! My first we told everyone as soon as the test turned positive. Our second we waited til 7wks. we had a suspected miscarriage, but not confirmed. Our raindbow we waited until after hearing the heartbeat at 9wks to tell family and 13wks we announced on social media. This time I have my first appointment and Ultrasound Dec. 19th, I'll be 8wks 2 days. We're going to announce to family at Christmas, I'll be just over 9wks.
