If you have no fertility issues and we’re actively trying to get pregnant, how long did it take you to conceive?

I consider myself and husband healthy people. We’ve been trying to get pregnant for the past seven months. I know that’s not long in the grand scheme of the TTC community, but I’m starting to get worried. I guess because I spent my entire young adult life panicking about getting pregnant when I wasn’t ready. It’s made out to seem if you have sex even once without protection, boom! You’re pregnant. Now that I’m trying, I’m realizing it’s very very hard to get pregnant. The closer I get to 13 months of trying to conceive, the more worried I get about fertility issues.

Honestly, I have learned that the more you worry the longer it takes, so it’s better to unfocus on the baby and just have fun. It will happen when you least expect it.

We got pregnant exactly on year after we started trying. At least 3 times a week. It seems it didn't work until I stopped caring so much if it happened or not.

I got accidentally pregnant twice 5 years back and we were not ready so we aborted 🥺😭 and now we are ready and trying hard for 2 months but no luck 😭😭 I’m so scared and sad 😔 why is this happening now.... when we are intentionally trying. If it happened accidentally before! It should happen now too!!  But no 😭 we both are healthy my periods are very regular

My friend and I have been having the same conversation recently. You think if you miss 1 pill you’re gonna get pregnant and then you try and it takes so long sometimes. My partner and I have been trying to conceive for 16 months now and no luck. Starting to look into fertility tests with the doctor but to be honest I do think a lot of it is the pressure we put on ourselves. I think take a step back and try to have sex for fun, maybe every couple of days and then your cycle doesn’t matter and it relieves the pressure xx

I’ve been on nuva ring for years and we decided to get pregnant again. I took it out early in December and I was wanting to get pregnant by Christmas but I think I tried too late... we got it done in December though! Found out I was pregnant January 11!

We have been TTC for 12 months now and no infertility issues. We are both active and eat healthy, lots of fruits and vegetables, minimal oils, etc. My doctor said majority of people take 8 months or more, and about 84 out of every 100 will get pregnant within a year if they have regular sex and don't use contraception. I would start worrying until after a year, and even then age and other factors play a role as well. If your worried talk to a doctor.
