Intermittent fasting?
I’ve been thinking about trying intermittent fasting but I have some concerns about it that seem like no one ever talks about. First, why doesn’t anyone ever really discuss feeling nasty after eating so much at one time? I have a job where I’m on my feet for 9 hours at a time, I take 1 lunch break the whole time where I just eat a peanut butter sandwich (calorically dense but light on my tummy so I can keep moving) and when I get home (usually around 6 or 7) I’m reasonably hungry. The problem is once I eat dinner I feel completely shot. My stomach weighs me down and all I wanna do is curl up under a blanket and watch Netflix. I feel like if I were to try intermittent fasting it could work with my schedule because I don’t have a ton of time to eat during the day, but then I think I’d feel so nasty after eating most of my calories in one go... I almost think doing the now “old fashioned” small tiny meals throughout the day would make more sense for me.
Another issue I foresee with it is feeling sort of triggered by when I was younger and I used to binge. I never had a real binge, but I definitely had days where I tried to deprive myself of calories and then at the end of the day I would say “fuck it” and eat it all back at once. I think I would be brought back to that dark place mentally if I tried IF.
But I’ve also heard so many positive reviews I don’t know what to think!
