Am I overreacting?

Question

So last night my boyfriend tells me him and his 3 siblings have decided to buy their parents a new TV for Christmas. At first I'm like why? They have a TV that works perfectly fine. It's a smart TV that is hooked up to AppleTV and Netflix and whatever else. Like literally, they dont need a new TV. Anyway. So then he tells me what each of them are paying for it..... wait for it.... $375!!!!!! 
My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years and we have literally *never* spent that much on each other, for anything....ontop of it all, We are in the midst of saving for a house and every one of his siblings knows it (although I guess that's not their problem..) So I'm annoyed by it. Dont get me wrong, his parents are great people, but am I wrong for being pissed off about this? If I'm over reacting please tell me. I'm trying not to be petty about it, but seriously. I'm really fuckin annoyed. And these people are not the only people we are buying gifts for. 
I'm just here to rant and to see if anybody else can understand why I'm pissed off, or if I'm overreacting.
(Also, I have read this over and over before pressing 'post', and I feel like I sound jealous and childish and that's seriously not my intention. But at the same time I'm like, why dont you ever spend $375 on me? I havent said that to him and I wont, but I definitely feel that way..LOL) uhg. This is so dumb.😔

I’m sure they have spent well over $375 on raising him. It’s a nice gesture. I’d be impressed with my SO  for being so selfless for his parents. My hubby and brother both spent $1,200 on a trip to Hawaii last Christmas for his mom and dad. Trust me, we had to cut back on ALOT to afford that trip. But they deserved it. My hubby’s dad passed away this past March and his mom constantly thanks my husband and his brother for that trip. I think you may be slightly over reacting. Remember.. those are his parents. They’ve been his whole world and did so much for him. There are limits of course... but I really don’t think that is a ridiculous amount to spend on your parents.

it's for his parents.... I wouldn't be upset because I wouldn't mind spending that on my parents. and my husband wouldn't be able to tell me I couldn't either.

I would be ok with it. My husband and I don't buy gifts for each other so that we can spend more on others during the holidays.

getting annoyed with big gifts when saving for a house—no. if you're saving up, that's a lot of money to spend on something that isn't a necessity. $375 is a good chunk of money, and if his parents already have a good tv that works, i wouldn't see why they'd get another one. it's a but irresponsible to say the least, but it's his money. if you guys haven't already sat down and made a hard budget, you should do so. 
being jealous bc he didn't spend that much on you—yes. it's not about the price tag, it's about whether or not you actually like the gift for the thoughtfulness put in, not bc he spent a certain dollar amount. this year i'm spending $6k more on my dad than my bf bc the things that fit my dad best just happen to be more expensive. i'd probably roll my eyes if my bf got upset bc i didn't spend as much on him.

It is a lot of money but come on, they're his parents. They probably deserve it. If I could spend that much on my parents I would, even more. They deserve the world. They raised their kids well and sacrificed a lot. And I'm sure in his mind he thinks that as well about his own parents.

It does seem unnecessary but if its his money you cant really say much unless it interferes with him being able to help with bills ect. 
Id be annoyed too but I  mean what are you gonna do 🤷‍♀️if you say something to him about how he never spends that much on you it may piss him off and he may think you're  ungrateful or something and just makes you look bad. 
I dont think you're  wrong for being irritated tho as you stated you guys are saving for a house.

I think if he can afford to spend it, if it’s his money, and it won’t put y’all in a bind then it’s a nice gesture. If all of the siblings agreed to go in with equal shares then he can’t really back out

I wouldn't be annoyed at the amount of money he wants to spend on his parents. I've put my own savings goals on a temporary hold in the past when I've found something for my parents that I think they'd really enjoy.
 I'd probably be annoyed, though,  that they are spending $1600 on a smart TV when there are many quality smart brands on sale now that don't cost nearly as much.

I wouldn’t be mad solely because it’s for his parents & he’s just pitching in. It shows he’s selfless & caring. I understand why you’d feel annoyed since you guys are trying to save up money, but I’d let it slide for the holidays.

The only way I would be annoyed is if he would be mad that I spent that much on my parents. I get you’re saving for a house and that is a lot of money for a tv (especially now with how cheap TVs are. It must be huge).
