How much do you have left over each month after all your bills?

I know a lot of factors go into it but im trying to figure out if what we have a month after bills is enough or if we need to find ways to save more/make more.

Once every single bill from mortgage, electric, monthly fuel bills for both cars , like every single bill is paid, we have just over 2k left. 1k automatically goes to savings every month and we each get half of what’s left as spending money. That’ll soon change when we have kids though.

We've got great paying jobs  (i'm an accountant & he's a crane driver) 
It's taken years and years of work though!

Depends on the month. Not including gas, food, toiletries etc, just paying actual “bills”, we usually have around $3,000.

Two income household, between 6k and 7k. That ignores what goes into our 401ks.

Depends. Sometimes 2k or less, sometimes 4k or more. The more my husband works, the more overtime he gets, which means more money. So in the winter when he'll go 3-4 months without a day off, his checks will be larger vs during the summer when he follows a regular hitch schedule. If he takes double time off one month for traveling, his paycheck is less. Sometimes our bills are more based on medicals/ect. So there's can be a pretty large variety just based on how much/how little he works that month, and if we have any additional bills at the time. We normally have at least 2k left over though, unless there's unusual circumstances

I voted less than 500 but I forgot to account for things that go automatically into savings, like HSA and 401k and I have a direct deposit into a savings account. I do what I can to save money that I wont think about touching unless I really need it. Luckily I dont live paycheck to paycheck and can do this, though I'm definitely not saving like buttloads.
