DIY Baby bed/bassinet

I'm looking for some creative Mama's to help me come up with an idea for a DIY baby bed. I'll be making an international move 1-2 months after baby girl is born. At this point I see spending hundreds on a crib and then hundreds to ship it after as a waste when I can get one when I move. My grandma mentioned making something using a deep drawer or laundry basket and it seems like a really neat idea, and it kind of makes sense for my situation plus it sounds like fun, I'm looking for a little more inspiration so any ideas are more than welcome.
