Do you tip?

I went to get my eyebrows waxed and she charged me $15. I didn’t tip and she made a face well , I didn’t like how she left them, I let them grow out and she left them sharpie thin like wtf !!!! For haircuts they charge $35 for blowout and style . Is already a lot for me I barely making ends meet but I really wanted a eyebrow wax is it that bad not to tip ???

I come from a country where tipping isn’t a thing, I’ve been living in USA for the past 15 years and still don’t get the whole tipping thing... I understand tipping servers at restaurants, because they aren’t getting paid minimum wage. But hair dressers? They agreed to work for the price they ask, I pay for the service, why do I throw more money on top of that? My husband has his own shop where he installs tires and does alignments, and only one person tipped him in the past year. How are his services different from hair styling services?

If you can’t afford to tip, you shouldn’t have services like brow waxes and hair done. If you don’t like how the service was done, that should be explained to the service provider. To not tip and not explain why is rude

I always tip for my eye brows my mom always said that tipping could be someone else’s living so try to tip a little if u don’t like it. One time I did dock a waitress for looking at my husband the whole time so everytime she made eyes at him I took a 25 cents off and she ended up with just 25 cents and a note that said here a tip stop looking at my husband

The place I get my eyebrows done it’s $10 and I always tip $2.

I always tip,I always buy the card where u get 4 eyebrow sessions for 25$ so I always give the lady a $5. I just think it's very rude to not tip. If the service is not that great I'll give a bit less but always something.

As someone who once replied on tips for my pay, I say if you can't afford to tip, don't get it done in the first place. Do it yourself(which is a lot cheaper) if you don't tip because of the services being unsatisfactory then you need to let the service tech know. They may be able to fix it or give you a discount. But other than that I always try to tip great for good service and low for poor service with my feedback. Never not left tip.

Some restaurants pay minimum wage.... sometimes even more...... I tip if I like service  wherever i go haircut eyebrows nails etc.
