Announcing - who do you tell?

So my mom and I are VERY close, she’s literally my best friend. I think I may be pregnant 🤞🏻 and she’s the only other person (aside from my hubby) that I want to know early on.

My husband wanted to announce (if we are pregnant) to our parents on Christmas. Cute idea, love it. Except his mom won’t keep it hush hush. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter we told her at the same time I told my mom and that same day she told her best friend, and her daughter was texting me “OMG ARE YOU PREGNANT” 🙄 I had asked her to please keep it to herself until after my first trimester, and after all tests came out well. His whole family knew in less than a week, and that’s not something I want now.

He made me feel bad because I asked him to keep it a secret from his mom until after the NIPT. But I told him she has a track record for not keeping secrets (not just about my previous pregnancy, so imagine how I feel).
