PTSD ??

Anyone with PTSD been to a doctor, do they make you tell them why you think you have it and what happens after that?... I’d prefer not to talk about my issues to a stranger, also can more than one event make it worse because I’ve lost count on them

yes multiple occurrences make it worse. most places won’t ask you directly. i was asked like 50 questions like “do you have nightmares? have you experienced trauma?” & based on that + 1 yr of counseling then i was diagnosed with PTSD

I’m sorry you’re going through this... I get that it would be hard to talk about it with a stranger, but something to consider is that that might actually be the best person to talk to about it because they don’t know you personally AT ALL and they have the resources to help. I’m sure that seems daunting, but if you’re willing, see if you can give it a try! If you don’t like it, you can always leave. Best of luck to you ♥️
