Is it normal?

My significant other says he’s confused and needs space after me having two miscarriages back to back. He says, “we both have a lot of growing up to do and I need time to think on how to move forward.” He also states “that he doesn’t know what he wants.” I asked him if he wants to leave me, and he said no that he loves me.

I think I’m just emotional without him and trying to give him his space, but I really just need him.
