Wanting another baby????

So I had my son when I was 16. He’s 10 now. My now fiancé has 3 of his own. We’ve been in a relationship now for 7 yrs. He’s always known that I wanted another child. We just got engaged in Feb. although I get scared I know for as fact I want another baby. He says he’s open to the idea. Even went as far as saying we can have one after we buy a house. I honestly feel like he doesn’t want one but is afraid to say. We’ve talked about it so much & he always says the same thing. Now he’s talking about how our children are super independent & we have the time to focus on ourselves & he hates the thought of starting over. I just feel it’s selfish because he has three & I know it’s not easy but it’s not fair to me because he’s known since day 1 that I wanted another. Idk who to talk to about this & I just want to hear some thoughts on the situation. His youngest is 9 & oldest is 12.

Figure out if he's changing his tune for real before you guys get married! You are perfectly entitled to want to have another child.

I have an 11 year old and a one year old. I absolutely love my baby boy but I wish the age gap wasn’t so far. It’s true you get used to your kids being basically independent. Then the baby come and every single thing is different. It’s a tough decision

I never minded waiting to have another baby being that I had my son so young. I completely understand where he’s coming from because he had his 3 basically back to back with his ex. We have this conversation all the time almost every 3/4 months. It’s just he hesitates so much when we talk about it. Idk if I’m selfish because I want him to want a baby with me as much as I want one with him.

I worry about starting over. It does make us waiver from time to time. My girls are 15 and 10. 2.5 years and 1 is out of the house and we have been trying to add another. I also worry about the age gap. My sisters are 12 years younger than me and honestly I hated it. As it is with 5 years my girls dont like each other and barely acknowledge one another. 
But, I think those are rational fears. I mean right now I dont have to monitor them all the time. We dont need to plan date nights around when we can get a sitter, we all go to theme parks with no issues, they sleep until 1pm on the weekends, I dont have to entertain them, etc. I could easily be talked out of a third the older they get.
