When baby wakes up in the middle of the night ONLY TO PLAY what do you do?!?!?

Coming from a desperate & sleep deprived ftm 😅 my son for the past month wakes up from 1am-5am no crying or fussing, he just wants to play & wont sleep for anything. What am I supposed to do?!? 
His nights & days aren’t confused either because he only takes one nap during the day. I find myself getting mad at him I KNOW he doesn’t know what time it is but this is getting ridiculous for me & im losing more & more patience with him every time he does this. Please save the “enjoy the moment” pep talks, we have enough “moments” during the day & I need sleep to function & be a better me. I can’t keep doing this so I just want to know what you all do when your baby is trolling you hard like my son is doing me 😭

If your baby just wants to play no crying no fussing I say let them. Should knock out on their own once they are good and tired again. If they're waking you up I personally would try a modified Ferber method (as I don't completely agree with it as originally written) but if they are just independently playing in the crib I would say let them and get yourself some needed sleep

I let my daughter cry/fuss and she'll usually fall back asleep. 
There's a difference between a whining, complaining cry and a actual upset, screaming cry.
If she's really upset I'll go to her but whining usually stops after a few minutes.

I wouldn’t go in right away. Give him a chance to fall back asleep. My daughter will sometimes fuss/whine in the middle of the night and after 5-15 minutes she will usually go back to sleep. If she’s actually upset and crying/screaming then I will go in because (knowing my daughter) she needs something, like a diaper change or is extra hungry that night. It’s also possible that when he sees you come in to get him, it stimulates him more when he sees you and then wants to get up and play.

A lot of moms i know have given me the advice to accept night waking because it'll be better for my daughter and me. I'll get less frustrated if I accept them. I've rarely had to get up and play 😅
I did have a period where she would wake up and start her day at 4 and I eventually gave up a quick fix and got up with her to start the day. Slowly I moved bed time a bit and also mornings.

trick with my daughter is not to let her be totally awake. Most of a time her binky would work but I have to give it to her as soon as she make a first noise, then she rolls over and sleeps. If I am too late, she will wake up and I am screwed. Maybe find something like this. Or bringing him to your bed and cuttle?

If it’s early In the morning then I will play with her and do tummy time because she hates that and that makes her tired but If it’s in the middle of the night I rock her in my arms
