ear piercing at almost 5 months

im getting my babys ears pierced today. she will be 5 months on the 10th. any suggestions as to how to keep it clean or avoid infection? i know some people frown upon having a babys ears pierced, but it is fairly common in mexican/hispanic cultures to do this at such an early age. I was looking forward to this until last night that I realized the pain my baby will be in 😢

we will be getting it done at the pediatrician’s office...im concerned she will be in such pain with the first one that we wont be able

to get the second one done....any experiences like this??
