Crib Mattress?

Question

Ok looking for opinions on best crib mattress. Honestly don’t care if it’s organic or whatever, I just want something your babes have slept really well on that was reasonably priced! My sister and her husband said they spent $300 and their son hasn’t even slept on it yet.

My daughter is two now but long story short: we needed a new crib mattress for a temporary home. So since I’d only need it for four months, I bought the cheapest one I found at Walmart. 
And my kid is finally sleeping well. It took two years, but she sleeps great now 🤷🏼‍♀️
I can’t say if that’s correlated to the mattress or her age, but that’s the mattress we use.

We have the baby trend respiro and our son seems to like it! He sleeps well and it makes me feel safe that it’s breathable

I did research on the safest type of mattress for a newborn baby. We ended up buying “Sealy Baby Firm Rest 5.5” Waterproof Standard Crib & Toddler Mattress”. We like it so much we are purchasing another one for our second baby. It is firm, has springs (which after research I decided was the best and safest for newborns), not foam. It is also affordable. I got it on Wayfair. I have seen it on Amazon as well. 
Things to keep in mind:
For safety purposes it needs to be firm and foam mattresses are not the best/safest (according my my research).

This is ours. My son has been sleeping on it 12-14 hours through the night since he was 8 weeks old and he’s 2 now. We used the firm newborn side for the first year, then I flipped it to the slightly softer side when he turned 1. I have had zero issues with it and my son absolutely loves it.
