Possible false negative STD test? Read story!

So awhile ago I found out my boyfriend had another girlfriend! Crazy story. And she told me she had been tested and found she had chlamydia.

So of course I go get tested. I told them beforehand hey, this girl who was also with my partner was tested positive for chlamydia. So they do a pelvic exam and swab. They give me the antibiotics anyways just in case.

Then yesterday I received a call that my STD results came back NEGATIVE for everything. I know it doesn’t really matter as I was given the antibiotics.

Could this be a false negative? Wondering if anyone has had similar stories.
