Baby Measuring Small? Im scared 😳

Question

Today i had my 34 week Ultrasound. Baby was measuring about 3.5lbs, the dr said hes "really small" & its "concerning" and he should weigh around 4.5-5lbs. He is now in the 10th percentile. I now have weekly Ultrasounds and weekly NST test along with regular bi-weekly prenatal appointments. 😕 its sooo much.
* his left kidney is also Swollen which can be corrected on its own my 1st son had it and it went away so theres not much concerned there.
Has anyone experienced this? What was your outcome? Did they induce you because the baby stopped growing? Did your baby continue to grow? Birth weight?  
Im stressing this so bad. It concerns me that the dr is concerned! 😣

Does it matter that ive only gained about 10lbs or less with this pregnancy?

My midwife said there is a huge margin of error when measuring size in utero. Eat balanced, healthy meals and try to keep the stress down because that's what's best for baby. If your baby is actually quite small at birth then at least you and your doctor will be prepared before little one is born!

My first two children started having this issue with being just overall proportionate but small. My son was born at 38 weeks - 5lbs 4oz. Overall healthy just had a little trouble regulating his blood sugar so Was in the hospital for a little bit. He started eating great and then we went home and now he’s an amazing 4 year old. My daughter was in the same boat - we had weekly ultrasounds from 24 weeks on to track her development as she started measuring about two weeks behind in growth. I was induced at 39 weeks. She was born at 5lbs 7oz. Went home after 48 hours and she’s a healthy 2 year old. Apparently, I make small babies! Lol let them track your little one and they’ll let you know how things are looking. I’m holding everything ends up going well for you both!

I can only answer the weight gain question, but no that shouldn’t matter 🙂 I’m 32 weeks and still 10 pounds down from when I got pregnant because of hyperemesis and baby is fine, so your weight gain is fine 🙂

They also estimated my baby to barely be about 6# at birth and mine ending up at 1 ounce shy of 8#. So just keep in mind the weight they estimate may be off.

I had weekly scans after 34 weeks because my daughter was measuring small. She came on her own at 38+3 weighing 5 pounds 2 oz and perfectly healthy. She was just small.

When I was 34 or 35 weeks pregnant with my first my dr kept telling me she was really small they did weekly ultrasounds until I gave birth kept insisting that she was small and would most likely be less than 5 pounds at birth and need to be in the NICU and then I went into labor at exactly 39 weeks had her and she was born 7lbs 14ounces sometimes the weight and estimates they give are wrong
