Too young for asthma?

So pretty sure my baby girl has asthma. We were in urgent care last night because she was really struggling to breathe. Her O2 levels were in the low 80s and her respiratory rate at one point was 73. Her breathing really takes a hit every time she gets anything viral. Is she too young to be diagnosed with asthma? Even if she is, what will be done? Will she have breathing treatments daily? Medicine? This is new to us. Just wondering what we should do next to prevent what happened yesterday. Poor baby was really struggling.

Yea she’s too young to be diagnosed. With both of my boys anytime they had ear infections/colds it would affect their breathing which would make them have to get breathing treatments. My youngest was so bad his doctor gave him a nebulizer for home. Anytime he gets a really bad cough I have to do a treatment on him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he got older and they diagnosed him with it because his dad has it too.

My daughter has been through it all. The week of Thanksgiving her breathing was so bad I had to give her 4 treatments of Albuterol & Budesonide in less than 10 hrs. Then I had to take her to the ER. They gave her steroids & 2 additional treatments. The ER doctor referred me to the Pulmonologist so she can be diagnosed with Asthma & she’s not 2 yet. She had an active double ear infection which is typical in her so now she has to has have surgery to get tubes pkced in. That’s not even the worst of her issues.
