Potty training boys?

Jacquelyn

My son is only 15 months old but he's already tearing his diapers off. Our daughter potty trained herself so I am totally lost. One day I walked into the bathroom and she was sitting on the toilet 🤷‍♀️ besides some nighttime accidents she never needed a diaper again.

When will you start potty training?

I can't imagine my son ever getting potty trained! Lol! He'll hang out in a poop diaper forever and not even care. Obviously, I change him as soon as I notice he pooped though.

I started at 2 with my first. She’s still not 100% at 3.5 but about 95%

I've never potty trained a boy yet so I'm curious right along with you. My daughter was a bit tough to get potty trained but was about 2 1/2 when I got her fully trained. And now my son is a year and some change and he's taking his diapers off when they're dirty as well. I told their father that I'm going to make him potty train our son this time, BUT he works during the day while I work nights so I'm of course going to be the one training 90% of the time, & I'm just clueless as to how to train a boy. Lol

For my son who is three I waited until he was ready, aka he was aware he was going pee and poo and would tell me after it happened. I don’t know what the course is if they are tearing their diaper off early but I will tell you I had so many people recommend the Oh Crap potty training book and the strategy worked flawlessly.
