(interracial couples) has race ever caused tension in your relationship?

I'm a black woman with a Puerto Rican/white boyfriend. Often times when the topic of race comes up it almost always ends up in a disagreement . It not only an issue of him not understanding certain things that I face and that I feel strongly about , he's also just willfully ignorant, instead of trying to hear me out and see where I'm coming from, hes just extremely dismissive and acts like certain things happen to everyone which, um no, if you have any sort of social awareness, you should understand exactly what iean without typing it. I would go into detail about some situations in particular but I'm walking into work now. Essentially interested in knowing if you've ever been in an interracial relationship that had some racial tensions and if so, how did you handle it?
