Mirena ...?

So I have an appointment today to get my birth control inserted and I'm just curious if any other mommas went with Mirena or have used it before? What are your thoughts,  did you like and did it work well for you? Im concerned about getting it put in, does it hurt alot during and after?

I just got my inserted yesterday. I recommend taking a pain reliever medicine 1 to 2 hrs before. Wasnt painful at all and i dont even feel it. You may have some light spotting and cramping but nothing major. Dont worry doctor will walk you through it

I’ve had it before for 4.5 years and loved it. No period, no pain (cramps 1-2 days after it is inserted) but it was wonderful and the best birth control I’ve ever had. Getting mine next week!

I used it for over 6 years before this baby. I loved it. Insertion was uncomfortable but not bad. Just some cramping mostly. I had no negative side effects. My periods completely stopped after a couple months which was amazing....6 years period free. My cycle also returned quickly when we decided to start trying again and we conceived 2-3 months after I had it removed.

I have had one 4 different times. No, it won't hurt. I loved it until my hormones shifted and the last one just didn't agree with me. But I recommend it to women all the time.

I had it for 5 years. I worked great for me. One thing you should have in mind is that it could give you head aches.. other than that I have nothing bad to say about it. I didn’t get my period for 5 years. After the dr took it out we started TTC and got pregnant 4 months later.
