Last minute, my college recently made a mandatory meal plan for EVERYONE even online students who possibly live OUT OF STATE. Well that failed and was delayed. Now last minute they send this through FACEBOOK! No emailing UNTIL everyone has shit to say! 
How would you feel?!?!?
Why is college so EXPENSIVE?!!!
Like really AN ATHLETIC FEE FOR ONLINE STUDENTS.

i go to USC. It’s $2000 per semester for a parking spot, $6000/semester for a shared one bedroom apartment, and a required meal plan if you live in the apartment of $650 (freshman year they require you to have a $3000 one)

Holy crap they don't even make sense. I wouldcertainly gather students and send a standardized email about it... bombard them with emails, phone calls, their social media (publicly, that's where it hurts).

Just because you're online, doesn't mean that you're not on campus doing sports or eating meals. I even knew of a few students living in res halls even though they were 100% online. It sucks that everyone has to pay the fees, but they also can't rely on people claiming to not need the services - they'd have to handle and assess each individual case, with lots of documentation on the student's part, and the man hours that would require would result in just as much money being spent, as they are losing by letting students not pay those fees. Those fees are also likely doubled if not tripled for students attending in person.

But I am 100% against mandatory meal plans. College students (the vast majority anyway) at 18+, and as adults they can figure out how to feed themselves without being forced into some crappy school meal plan

My last year in college they cut professors wages increase tuition just to pay for a football stadium when we didn't have a football team. Nobody won it a football team since we could not compete at the national level.. But we got a fancy football stadium and professors are eating cat food...
