yeast infection

my doctor gave me fluconazol for my yeast and only gave me 5 pills and today was my last day taken it and my symptoms are less but it felt like i started them a lil again today because the other days i took the pills my symptoms went away. how long does fluconazol should work? for my yi go away completely? the other day my boyfriend tried fingering me and when he just put his finger a little it burned me idk if it was because i was dry or?i didnt have sex with him during my treatment now im scared its going to burn me again if he fingers me.
