Is it safe to fly when pregnant?

My rational head says it is of course safe however still need confirmation! I’m still very very early stages of pregnancy and worrying about everything 😱

Usually it is best to fly during the second trimester. It is safe also during the first but could be inconvenient due to pregnancy symptoms such as vomiting, nausea etc, and also during the first trimester usually the pregnancy is not as stable as later on. During the second half of the third trimester, it is better not to fly as you get closer to giving birth.

If you’re in early stages and you feel up to it physically then yeah, it’s totally fine 😊 It’s only later on in pregnancy that you might need a doctor’s note saying you’re okay and there’s no risk of preterm labour (they check your cervix for example), as some airlines require it before letting you on the plane.

As long as your doctor clears you, it’s fine. :) Also, many airlines will not allow you to fly after a certain point in the third trimester without a doctor’s note.

Ask you ob what he thinks , if your pregnancy isn’t one with complications I don’t see why not but I would ask doc what he thinks
