Dating advice

Ok so I really want to ask this girl out (I’m in high school) and she doesn’t go to the same school as me. But we have been talking alot for a while now and yeahh. So now a few ppl have told me that she has a crush on me, and I’ve liked her for so long. And I invited her to a Christmas sleepover/party thing and at this party I got gifts for everyone. I’m going to give them at the end and idk if I should give her hers then ask her to open it (and I’m leaving a will you go out with me note lol) right then and there. Orrr should I give her the present wait 5 days until she opens it on Christmas and get a text back with her answer?
