Honestly they’re not fun. It’s really uncomfortable but it goes by really fast. You’ll get a little cramping like a period then it’ll be over. You might spot a little afterwards too totally normal.

I just had my first one 8 weeks ago at 21y/o too and it doesn’t hurt. The specula (tool that opens your vagina) is uncomfortable but it shouldn’t hurt. Neither should the swabbing hurt. Like others said, just uncomfortable. I was nervous too but it wasn’t bad. It’s done pretty quickly

It's slightly uncomfortable, but not painful and finished within seconds. Like taking a swab sample from your from, only it's taken from the vagina.
