IUD and period?

So i got the IUD july 2019 (5 months ago) and my period is late right now but i read places that some people’s periods on the IUD go away sometimes after three months. 
If you have an IUD, when did your period go away? (I use kyleena and i have had it for almost 5 months)

I had the mirena IUD put in in May and my first couple of periods were abit over the place but now they are coming right on time.. I wouldn't worry your body is still getting used to the hormone/implant. xx

Yes it can make your period go away. It’s less common with kyleena bc kyleena has less hormones than mirena. But it is possible and will at least lighten up your periods. As long as you can feel your strings every month and it doesn’t feel like it’s falling out you’re good! Enjoy the light to no periods!
