What’s one thing your in-laws have done or said to you that made you seriously hurt or dislike them going forward?

I didn’t really mind my MIL for the first few years but eventually I started noticing how she treated my husband, people around her, and myself.

The turning point for me was when she invited me to a party with her, she painted it like a girls

night out for the two of us. I was still in college at the time and working. On the night of the “party” I was scheduled to work and couldn’t get off so my husband went to the party with her instead. He called me while I was working really upset and told me he was glad I didn’t come. Apparently my MIL was planning to take me to a weight loss group! (Like buy these shakes, take these pills, etc.)

My husband was furious with his mom and from then on, I lost all trust in her. That was years ago and she still acts like such a bitch. I never really noticed it until that night.
