Starting solids
My LO is turning 4 months this week and we are hoping to be able to introduce him to some solids and be able to switch him off his high calorie (high dollar 🙃) formula. I am anticipating that his pediatrician will recommend he start out on rice/oatmeal cereal but I would prefer to avoid that at all costs since it has basically zero nutrition in it. Has anyone started their baby on stage one baby foods instead of the cereals and had good luck with it?
**Edit since everyone is freaking out**
I’m not considering replacing formula with solids. My son is currently on a high calorie formula that I was hoping we could switch him from to a REGULAR infant formula in ADDITION to solids. I am fully aware that he still needs to have some formula until 1.
Now that that has been said.. I also did not realize solids at 4 months could be harmful. I will do more research on that before considering anything other than formula.
