Is it safe for my partner to ejaculate inside me?

I am gonna be anonymous and ask this question. I am 28 weeks and 4 days. I was scrolling through the third trimester group and I saw a topic about how sperm can soften cervix and induce labor or cause contractions I don’t remember which. My husband and I have always had unprotected sex since the beginning but is it safe for him to ejaculate in me now that I am this far along into my pregnancy? I didn’t know anything about this until now.
