Formula amounts per day

Y’all I’m confused. Parenting ain’t easy. I’m a reader and researcher by natural. I was a teacher and nanny for a few years. Now I’m a mom to an almost 5 month old and I’m questioning stuff. Ugh! Its hard.

So here’s the deal - pediatrician asks how many ounces baby is drinking a day. I say “6 oz, 5 times a day” sleeping through the night. Yay!

I then asked her... wait, do you count just the water at 6 oz or do you count the water PLUS the formula powder (which increases the volume to 7 oz per bottle). She says 7!!!

I count it the way the formula can says 6 oz of water + formula powder = 6 oz of milk!

I’m supposed to feed her 36 oz a day in theory. I’ve been saying 5 bottles x 6 oz = 30 oz. she’s says I’m feeding her 35 oz.

So which is it?!

Baby girl weighs in at 17 lbs 8 oz yesterday at almost 5 months! 90% in weight.

We’re not worried. She’s very happy with this amount and doing so well! All those rolls 🥰😍
