OPK instead of HPT

Hey all, I had read on here at some point that often times a blazing positive opk can give you an idea if you might be pregnant. I am 9DPO and just used an opk but it was negative. Still a chance that a pregnancy test could be positive? I don’t want to test yet, will do so on Sunday if my period doesn’t arrive. Just wanted to know if the opk counts me out at all.
