Is anyone’s baby “reverse cycling” aka eating most of their milk over night?
My 4 month old is formula fed, but has been eating the bulk of his milk over night for the last 2-3 weeks. He’s definitely in the sleep regression. His daycare is acting concerned that he’s only eating maybe 8 ounces in 9 hours. Then he eats maybe 10 more before bedtime and 15+ overnight. I’m not sure if me returning to work or just the sleep regression caused this change. He only goes to daycare 2x/week.
I’m just worried that his body is getting used to this eating schedule now and sleep isn’t going to improve because of it (he eats ~4oz every 2 hours at night right now). I have read to slowly decrease the amount in the bottles overnight to encourage eating during the day... we’ve gone from 4.5 to 4 and then tonight we will do 3.5 ounces each bottle.
