Birth Control Implant Questions

I’ve been wanting to go on birth control for some time now (help with period and all that). 19, and my mom doesn’t really educate me on stuff about this.

But I need some tips/questions answered before making an appointment. (Nexplanon birth control implant)

1) I’ve read that it may require a physical exam, but is it another phrase for pelvic exam? This is the one I’m actually nervous about.

2) Does getting the implant actually hurt?

3) And any other kind of advice/tips you can give me, I’m desperate here😅😅
