Induction question/curiosity

So my dr is planning to induce me in my 38th week due to hypertension. 38 weeks starts the 27th for me. He said he wants to do it before he leaves town on the 2nd. I know it’ll just be guesses, but what day do y’all think he will pick?

I’m assuming it won’t be the first, cause i know it can take over 24 hours sometimes. My guess is December 30th or 31st, which is Monday and Tuesday, but I’m a ftm so does anyone have a more educated guess as to when he might schedule it? Like i don’t know how much time to allot
