Forever to respond?

Hi friends,

So long story short, my last relationship was 5.5 years long and we lived together and the whole works.

We broke up, i did my thing for awhile, and started talking to a new guy. this guy will take anywhere between 10 minutes to 8 hrs to respond to one text message.

I am the type of person who likes to communicate throughout the day, and he says he is too.

I understand at work and such, but there has been times he is laying in bed (because he told me that’s what he was doing) and just will take forever to reply.

I’ve asked him if maybe he wants to have a phone call or facetime at the end of the day just to chat, and he said no texting is fine??

so we officially started dating after 2 months of talking, and i thought his timing would

change, but it didn’t. so i once again brought it up and he said that if he responds right away it makes him seem desperate..

I suffer from depression/anxiety and there are times when I am literally suffering, and he tells me that he wants me to vent to him about it. but like how can i vent to him, if he will take hours to respond?

ugh, idk maybe i’m just blowing this out of proportion?

what do you guys think? how should i go about telling him again how i feel about this?

OH and to add, he always wears an apple watch so he knows when i message
