My crush knows I like him

Ok so I’ve liked this guy for the past year and a half. about four weeks ago something happened. His best friend set us up on a “date” (quotation on that since both of us didn’t know lmao) to a musical together.

Apparently three days after his best friend accidentally told him I liked him. Two weeks ago he asked me on a date. I’m highkey oblivious so if someone could tell me what some of this means.

Like every time he texts me first his hi’s have like four i’s or his heys will have four y’s and apparently that means something? He always checks up on me and like recently I’ve been sick and he’s like handed me cough drops without me asking? Then yesterday he asked me to come to his house and watch the joker with him and his fam???? We haven’t gone on the first date yet and idk what any of this means? Can someone help a girl out pretty please 🥺
