As it's holiday season there is a lot of giving going around. I've seen it happen at work, I've had it happen to myself. I've even been the one giving.

What do you think about accepting money from strangers?

I'll give an example.

I was standing in line waiting to pick up a small advance on my pay check to get diapers and gas until pay day. I was on the phone telling my step mom about using some of it to make sure my son has at least one present from mommy (Santa). After I hung up, a lady walked up and gave me $5. I felt odd. I, of course, refused at first because this woman doesn't know me. I feel sad accepting hand outs even if I need it. But I did and used it for gas to get my son to the sitter and myself to work.

Was it wrong of me? Do you accept money, or even give money to strangers?
