Do you do “Santa” for your kids?

My parents did “Santa” for me and my sisters but my husbands parents never did “Santa”. We are still not sure what we are gonna do ( our son is only 1) but jw what everyone else does....

I don’t want to set a precedent for my child that I tell him something false and present it as truth. He will still have winded and delight without being taught a lie.

We like to keep the spirit of Santa alive. We do fun things, go see santa, milk and cookies, feed his reindeer. But I've told my kids I've requested from santa that he only fill stockings and leave a couple(one or two) gifts. We don't go crazy for Christmas because I want my kids to know it's a time to spend with family more than a time to get presents from some man that sneaks into our house lol. My family sucked growing up so I'm trying to start traditions and things to keep my family from splitting up and hating each other like mine did.

I still get presents from Santa from my parents and I’m 23 and my sister is 20 lmfao. Shoot, my dad would take my car sometimes when I was over at the house and I’d get in and my gas would be full and he would say it was Santa. I LOVE the idea of Santa and I’ll always teach my kids to believe in him even if it’s not “real.” The spirit of Santa is real. The generosity is real. I love the joy of Santa!

Both my partner and I where brought up with Santa and we will bring our kids up like that too. It usuaed to be so fun and my family had little Christmas traditions. But I do believe in only giving 1 gift from Santa and rest from Mum and Dad

My parents did Santa. I use to write letters for Santa and leave the milk and cookies and carrots. "Santa" use to write back on the letters and sign his name.. the cookies would be almost all gone, milk drank and carrots gnawed... my dad has bigger feet, and he had these like hunting boots that made big footprints, and they made it look like Santa fell off the roof one year and his butt landed on the porch... they even had this special just plain shiny red wrapping paper that Santa would wrap all his gifts in. Santa use to leave me and my brother like 3-4 gifts, and then fill our stockings.... heck even still now at 21, and obviously we know Santa's not real but they will fill our stockings still and put "Santa" on a couple gifts in them for me, my husband and my brother. Right now my son is only 1, so he doesn't really understand Santa but I will definitely be keeping the tradition alive, and I know my parents will be too. They'll make sure that Santa stops over there and leaves some gifts for him too

I’m catholic my husband is Muslim, my husband never celebrated Xmas ,but I told my husband I want my kids to experience Santa 🎅 . Not for the religious meaning but for the Santa and being thankful and giving back to others.
